The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has signed a cooperation agreement with MS Asia for Educational Services, represented by the Global Village of Languages, to launch the “Qafila” program for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers through an immersive language methodology in Southeast Asia.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Nidal Mohamed Abu Zahri, Director of Administrative Operations at ICESCO, and Dr. Mutwakil Abdullatif Al-Fadni, CEO of MS Asia. The project will run from July 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Cambodia.
The Qafila program, initiated by the Global Village of Languages under MS Asia, adopts a language immersion approach that has already achieved remarkable results in previous initiatives across Malaysia, Zanzibar, Uganda, and Kenya.
Objective: To provide an interactive immersive learning environment that accelerates language acquisition and promotes its use in daily life, following the latest pedagogical methods.
CEO of MS Asia stated: “This agreement reflects international recognition of our efforts and the Qafila program. It also reaffirms the effectiveness of the immersion model in enabling learners to acquire Arabic in a natural and innovative way.”
This collaboration marks a step forward in promoting the Arabic language globally through modern, immersive teaching methods, supporting both cultural and educational development in the region.
